IIRC I think there’s a kit (intended for boats) that’ll make GM V6s like that spin the other way.

Fairly certain he just took a FWD H/B/G/K -body subframe and plopped an engineless corvair on top of it. That’s how I’d do it, at least.

I’d be inclined to do the same. The corvair engine bay is already wide AF, it’s definitely not a “wrong” answer, and it allows having a rad behind the engine.
